The Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced Paralegal to join our Dental Litigation team.

This role will enable you to manage your own caseload of MDU dental claims. You will work on a wide variety of complex defendant claims covering all aspects of medical practice. You will also have the opportunity to assist Associates and Partners with other high value claims and work on other clinical related litigation.

Your key responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Pre-action investigation of claims
  • Litigation & costs management
  • Interviewing clinicians and drafting witness statements
  • Instructing medical experts
  • Multi-party litigation
  • ADR & mediation
  • Preparation for and attendance at trials.

Skills and Competencies:

A genuine interest in Clinical Negligence, Medical Law more specifically Dental.
Experience of managing your own caseload with supervision
Excellent organisational skills and IT skills;
Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
Ability to work within a team and independently;
Ability to plan and prioritise work to ensure deadlines are met;
An appreciation of the need to comply with internal and client data security guidelines.
