Your New Role...
Provides general support to the legal team, assisting with high volume distribution agreements, ad sales agreements and other commercial documents.
Your Role Accountabilities...
Assist with preparation and review of standard agreements (including distribution agreements and ad sales agreements).
Drafting amendments, breach letters, audit notifications, termination notices and more complex lower value distribution agreements.
Liaise with distribution operations team plus affiliate sales teams in local offices across EMEA to advise on legal issues and assist with contract compliance.
Provide day-to-day legal support to general commercial teams.
Conduct legal research for other members of the team.
Qualifications & Experience...
Strong academics - Law LLB or GDL required (LPC or BPC an advantage).
Excellent interpersonal skills – ability to work effectively within the legal team as well as with key stakeholders across the wider business.
Clear and concise communicator (both orally and written) with an ability to translate legal issues to sales/ commercial teams.
Well organized, with excellent time management skills.
Good understanding of contract law.
Experience with commercial contracts.
Media/ IP experience an advantage but not required.
Sound commercial awareness, with a desire to learn about the business.
Will be a key provider of day-to-day support to all members of the legal team so must be a good team player, and have a flexible, hands-on approach.
Ability to manage own time judiciously and deal effectively with competing interests.
Confident and approachable, with an ability to interact with clients from different cultures and backgrounds.
A varied role, providing an opportunity to work with a variety of people at different levels throughout the business.
Playing an integral role in ensuring support is provided to all members of the legal team.
Requires a pragmatic and flexible approach.
