up to £25,000 per annum
We are working with a leading regional, Lexcel accredited law firm who are seeking a Paralegal to support their busy Private Client team at their office in either Stratford-upon-Avon or Southam, depending on the preference of the successful candidate.
This position is a fantastic opportunity for someone with some experience within a private client department who wishes to develop their skills further and progress their career.
This is a varied and busy role which would involve:
- Assisting Fee Earners with the preparation of Wills, Lasting Power of Attorneys and dealing with Administration of Estates
- Attending to clients
- Producing accurate detailed work to ensure excellence in legal services
- Maintaining files and ensuring efficient case management of Private Client matters
- Drafting any documentation in accordance with efficient file management including correspondence, briefs, court documentation, full attendance notes and statements of evidence
- Time recording in accordance with the Firm’s policy and preparing bills as necessary
- Attending to clients in the office or in their homes
- Undertaking work necessary to build up, maintain and manage a caseload
- Attending department meetings as required
Suitable candidates will have:
- At least one years’ experience working within a Private Client Department as a Paralegal/Legal Assistant supporting a Fee Earner
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word and Outlook and good keyboard skills
- Ability to work within quality and case management systems (e.g. Lexcel and Tikit)
- Dynamic in approach and uses initiative when dealing with clients or potential clients
- A positive approach to customer service
- A team player and flexible in approach
- Ability to deal with sensitive situations in a professional, confidential manner
- Driving licence and use of own vehicle preferable, but ability to travel between offices, courts and offices is essential
This is a full time, permanent, office-based job working 9:00am until 5:00pm Monday to Friday.
