ROLE: Paralegal
LOCATION: Northampton
SALARY: Competitive, dependant on experience
HOURS: 09:00-17:15 Monday- Friday, with hybrid working opportunities available

ROLE:
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Paralegal to join our busy Family Department in Northampton. This varied role is suited to someone with excellent interpersonal, time management and organisational skills and is a great opportunity for those looking to progress their legal career.
The role will include but is not limited to:
general support to senior fee earners within the department- drafting, amending, and proof-reading a wide variety of legal documents and reports
- recording time and working towards billing targets
- meeting with clients
- attending meetings both, internal and external
- assisting with casework and taking some cases on as the main fee earner (depending on level of experience)
- working within a team to develop and grow the department
ABOUT YOU:
The ideal candidate will be:
educated to degree level or equivalent- have previous relevant experience, preferably in Legal Aid, domestic abuse and children related cases
- have excellent communication skills both, written and verbal
- have a clear understanding of the application of Family Law and the LAA
- have a proven ability to be able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
