We have a unique and exciting opportunity for an ambitious paralegal to join our in-house legal department and take their legal career to the next level!
In this role, after a year supporting in a paralegal capacity, there is the possibility to qualify with us either through a training contract sponsored by P&G or support for the SQE. This type of opportunity to join P&G in this junior legal capacity is rare and so we recommend candidates apply early to avoid disappointment.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Be a true business partner to our marketing function by providing legal support on the advertisement of some of our most iconic brands. This is an opportunity to work within a legal capacity for one of the UK’s biggest TV advertisers.
Advise the business on privacy matters and take responsibility for the P&G’s data protection registrations
Work with P&G’s insurers and brokers in relation to insurance claims and renewals
Learn about company secretarial matters by drafting board minutes and documentation for Companies House
Work with experts in leading law firms in areas such as property and personal injury, sharing your knowledge and being a coach to others
Deepen your knowledge in numerous legal areas throughout your career such as company secretarial, advertising, consumer, data protection, debt recovery, personal injury, antitrust and compliance implementation.

You will sit within a supportive and highly experienced UK & Ireland legal team, learning on the job and reporting to the Director and Assistant General Counsel. You will receive consistent coaching and development to help you progress within your career.
Training Opportunity: for the right candidate, following a successful first year in the role, there is the opportunity to seek qualification through a training contract or support for the SQE.
Flexibility: This role is based in our UK HQ in Brooklands, Surrey which is an easy commute from London with regular trains from Waterloo and a free shuttle service from the station to the office. We operate a flex at work approach, with flexibility built into the role and an expectation of 3 days in the office per week.

Qualifications
What We’re Looking For:
Qualified to degree level or equivalent, preferably a law degree or already converted
At least 2 years’ experience in a law firm or legal department – ideally in-house
A background and interest in commercial law, consumer law, litigation, and / or compliance
Ability to apply knowledge very practically, analyze risks and issues, and propose business-oriented solutions
Good attention to detail and basic understanding of the litigation process
Excellent drafting and communication skills and strong ability to work collaboratively with multiple functions in a multinational environment
Open-minded and curious personality with desire to move things forward.
Ability to prioritize multiple projects and challenging priorities
