Partners Employment Lawyers has an new opening for a paralegal. As a dynamic, niche firm based in the City, under the umbrella of Excello Law, this is an opportunity to focus on Employment Law and gain real insight and responsibilities within a close-knit team.
Role and responsibilities
A team spirit, excellent work ethic and a hands-on approach are vital. The role itself comprises a mixture of legal work, client communication, administrative support and marketing. Clients are both employers and employees, providing an overarching insight into the legal issues from different perspectives.
Key tasks involve:
- Drafting legal arguments
- Researching employment issues
- Preparing for Employment Tribunal litigation
- Liaising with barristers and legal representatives
- Reviewing contracts and legal documents
- Communicating with clients, responding to telephone enquiries and participating in meetings
- Administrative support such as billing, diarising and client engagement letters
- Writing articles and media marketing
Key requirements
No requirement for prior paralegal experience; greater weight will be placed on the candidate’s interest, motivations, and commitment to the field of Employment Law.
Personal Specification includes:
- University degree, preferably in Law.
- Ability to work on own initiative where required, but also to be part of, and contribute to, a small team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Well organised with ability to prioritise competing workloads and remain calm under pressure
- 'Can do’, friendly and approachable
- Honest and trustworthy
- Confident and personable
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook

Salary
Dependent on experience and capabilities – roughly £24,000 per annum.
