Forbes Solicitors LLP are looking for a Paralegal to join our Housing and Regeneration (Litigation) Team at our Leeds city centre office. This is a full time role working 36.25 hours per week, Monday - Friday.
The Firm’s Yorkshire Housing & Regeneration Team is ranked as a Tier 2 Firm within the Legal 500 legal directories.

Our Housing Litigation Team acts for social landlords, and the role will involve assisting with and running their own caseload of housing litigation files. The role will also include:
- working alongside other solicitors, partners, and paralegals;
- having direct communication with clients and third-party solicitors;
- legal research;
- preparing draft legal advice and updates;
- handling their own caseload;
- using the Firm’s case management systems;
- preparing documentation/paperwork.

We will be progressing applicants to the next stage based on applications demonstrating the following knowledge, experience and skills:
- hold an LPC (desirable but not essential);
- hold CILEX qualification/Law Degree (or equivalent);
- previous paralegal is desirable;
- previous experience within litigation is desirable;
- previous experience of handling their own caseload (desirable)
- have proven competence in their IT skills (outlook, word, and other systems experience);
- have the ability to work as part of a team;
- have excellent attention to detail and organisational skills;
- have an interest in long term development / progression in the department;
- have good communication skills, both written and verbal;
- have the ability to touch type but this is not essential as full training will be given.
