The Team provides advice on financial services regulation including with regard to obtaining and maintaining FSA authorisation process for regulates activities and setting up all kinds of regulated and unregulated investment funds/products including Private Unit Trusts/OEICS.
The Farrer & Co Financial Services & Funds Team continues to grow and we are looking for a bright, enthusiastic and personable person to join our highly successful team in order to provide paralegal support to fee-earners within the team primarily in relation to FCA authorised fund documents .
- Assist fee-earners with updates and reviews to fund prospectuses, liaising with fee earners/clients as appropriate.
- Providing general administrative and other support as required to members of the team.
- Carry out legal research, using a variety of online and reference sources.
- Draft and proof-read legal documents and prepare written reports as requested.
- Attend client meetings, or calls alongside other fee-earners and produce attendance notes as requested.
- Provide wider support and assistance to the team in particular during busy periods or periods of absence (for example, assisting in picking up calls, copying, administrative tasks including file closing and general team support).

The hours of work for this opportunity are 09:30am-5:30pm.We would expect the candidate to be committed, flexible and prepared to work beyond the normal office hours if necessary but we consider this likely to be relatively rare. The candidate will be expected to follow the firm’s agile working policy, which embraces home working but will require employees to spend a minimum number of days each week in the office.
