The team provides clients with prompt, practical advice covering all aspects of residential property including conveyancing and the financing (both on acquisition and refinancing) of such properties. Many of the team's transactions are complex and involve overseas jurisdictions.
The team is ranked in tier 1 in both the Legal 500 and Chambers High Net Worth guides.
To provide paralegal support to partners, fee-earners and the knowledge lawyer within the Residential and Secured Lending team. Assisting with post exchange and post completion matters, including drafting and sending notices, SDLT submissions and payments, making Land Registry applications and dealing with Land Registry requisitions.
- Assisting busy fee-earners on document management (netdocs) and transaction progression on a number of complex large cases usually development sales and purchases - we are developer preferred buyer lawyers for a handful of luxury high end developments.
- Carry out legal research, using a variety of online and reference sources.
- Draft and proof-read legal documents and prepare written reports as requested.
- Methodically analyse and summarise issues; finding solutions and communicating them effectively.
- Provide support to fee-earners on transactions through drafting, research and analysis.
- Prepare report appendices as requested.
- Assist other members of the team when preparing for client meetings or BD events.
- Attend client meetings, or calls alongside other fee-earners and produce attendance notes as requested.
- Provide wider support and assistance to the team in particular during busy periods or periods of absence (for example, assisting in picking up calls, copying, administrative tasks including file closing and post completion registrations at the land registry and general team support).
Previous experience in a paralegal position with a residential property focus would be preferred.

Your hours of work are 09:30am-5:30pm but it is essential to be committed, flexible and prepared to work beyond the normal office hours when necessary and in response to team and client demand.

The candidate will be expected to follow the firm’s agile working policy, which embraces home working but will require employees to spend a minimum number of days each week in the office.
