Pembroke & Bull Contracts Ltd are a painting and decorating company and are looking for ambitious people to join their expanding team.
The Role
As a contracts manager, you will be responsible for managing a team of qualified and experienced decorators, delivering multiple projects on time and on budget within London and surrounding areas. You will provide technical support and advice as part of your daily schedule and will provide formal performance feedback to assist continuous development.
Your roles and responsibilities:
- To oversee the management and delivery of a number of contracts, both new work and refurbishment, up to the value of £1m.
- Attend pre-start meetings and discuss programme, delivery and logistics with main contractors and clients.
- To programme and plan all identified works.
- Organise and recruit labour and subcontractors for projects.
- Ensure clients receive the high level of service they expect.
- Attend regular meetings and site visits.
- Ensure H&S compliance is being met and maintained.
- Conduct QC checks.
- Ensure work is completed within agreed timescales and on budget.
- Build on existing client relations and attract new clients and contracts to develop the business.
About You
The successful candidate will have a thorough knowledge of the painting and decorating sector and strong communication skills, both written and verbal are essential.
You will be required to have a minimum of 5-years of experience working in both industrial and commercial projects.
Relevant H&S training is preferrable but not essential as training can be provided.
You will be able to plan your time effectively and reliably deliver projects.
You will need to have a full, clean UK driving licence and be prepared to drive between projects within London and surrounding areas. (Vehicle will be provided)
You will also have experience in helping to develop customer relationships.
Job Types: Full-time, Freelance
Salary: £55,000.00-£60,000.00 per year
