The Shift
Our Assembly weekend shift is full time hours (34) condensed into 3 days and meaning you’ll have Monday-Thursday off!
Working hours
- Friday 7.30-5.30
- Saturday & Sunday 7.30-7.30
About The Role
As a packing team member, you will be:
- Using the speciality equipment to help identify and remove dishes that don’t meet the Bigham standards
- Carefully measuring and adding toppings to finish off our dishes and make them extraordinary.
- Re-filling our packing machines with new carboard sleeves or boxes
- Accurately stacking boxed dishes onto pallets and moving any filled pallets into logistics
- Maintaining high hygiene levels and keeping a tidy workspace
- Maintaining food preparation records and logs
- Carrying out effective and accurate shift handovers
- Flagging any issues with the equipment within your area
- Work as part of a fast paced team towards the completion of the daily plan
What you’ll need

- The ability to work with various technology including packing and quality check machinery, so computer literacy is important. Previous experience in a machinist-based role is desirable but not essential
- High attention to detail and a strong quality focus
- The ability to repetitively lift 20kg boxes
- The ability to work in a fast paced environment
- The ability to learn how to use existing and newly introduced packing equipment
- A positive approach to work
- A desire to develop their skills and work as part of a team

- A competitive salary of £13.48 per hour (Inclusive of a weekly pattern premium and night premium)
- A pay increase to £14.10 per hour following the successful completion of 3 months’ probation (Including all premiums)
