Packing / Production Assistant (Motorsport Glazing) Bolton, England
Job description
We are looking for an energetic and motivated person with good timekeeping to join our Packing / Production department to help finish and pack products in preparation for shipping.
Monday to Thursday 08:00 to 17:00, Friday 08:00 to 14:30
The role will involve:
· Packing products of various sizes in bubble wrap, manufacturing bespoke boxes from sheet card to enclose the products.
· Filling in various quality and packing documents
· Taking dimensions and weights, applying product and shipping labels.
· Liaising with parts department to make sure stock levels are adequate.
· Manufacturing timber crates for shipping large orders
· Helping production staff in all departments when necessary (may include CNC, GRP mould making, assembly, finishing, packing)
· It is a busy hands-on role in the packing department with the opportunity to progress into a more production-based job as you gain skills within the manufacturing environment.
Ideally you will be:
· Looking for a permanent and long-term career
· Fit and healthy as you will be carrying large and bulky packages
· Computer literate and have a good standard of English and Maths
· Able to measure correctly and record specific information on forms
· Able to use basic power tools
· Have previous experience in a production / workshop environment
· Able to follow instruction and to show initiative

Please Note: Own vehicle is a must in order to get to work as Belmont is a remote village with an infrequent and unpredictable bus service that does not align itself to our operating times.
