Our Subsea Energy business in Ulverston, Cumbria is on the lookout for an experienced Warehouse Assistant to join our business.

Located in Ulverston, South Lakes, Cumbria, close to the Lake District, at our 11,000 sq. ft purpose-built factory we design, manufacture, test and install subsea connector and measurement technology for the oil and gas industry and have acquired an enviable global reputation for the manufacture and delivery of our products. We also have a separate Mould Shop and a Class 5 Clean Room (ISO 14644-1).
Established 40 years ago, Siemens Subsea has become a world leader in its field, with approximately 260 highly skilled personnel operating a manufacturing and distribution point for subsea connectors.

The Role:
The role of the Packing Operative is to check, pack and despatch all product in an efficient, safe and secure manner. Additional duties include general housekeeping and maintaining HSE required standards of the packing, shelving and yard areas.

Your profile:
Experience of working within a Logistical/Warehouse/Stores environment- Working knowledge of SAP
- Excellent attention to detail
- Working to the highest levels of health and safety
- Ability to demonstrate quality awareness
- Ability to communicate and work effectively in all levels within and outside of the organisation
- Organised and logical approach to work
Your responsibilities:
- To undertake a range of generic Despatch activities in a safe and professional manner
- To always work safely, complying with health and safety and other relevant regulations and guidelines.
- To ensure the timely packing of all types of orders within the allocated dates specified.
- To ensure all stock records are maintained in an accurate and efficient manner.
- To follow relevant instructions and be able to use effectively and efficiently relevant documentation and IT systems that support the Despatch activities.
- To have a detailed understanding of the end-to-end process for the receipt, handling, storing, issue and recall and care and protection of company assets.
- To perform all scheduled machine checks (EPT & FLT) and record all details.
- To use associated tools and specialist equipment safely and effectively.
- To actively drive and support continual improvement activities, ideas, and suggestions to support Department Manager in developing department to better fit Business needs
- To assist other departments within the business and act as point of contact for day-to-day activities.
