We are looking for a organised and attentive individual to join a young, fast-growing, innovative company in our production facility in Glasgow. Working in a small, fast-paced Packing & Logistics team, you will take overall responsibility for ensuring our hand-crafted alternative meat products are sent to our customers in the best condition and in a speedy manner. Attention to details are paramount to meet health and safety requirements for food legislation as well as quality control of products.
This role involves standing for long periods of time and working in both warm and cool temperatures (our products are stored chilled). It will also involve repeated lifting and carrying of heavy cases and products. You will be required to complete your tasks independently.
We are a seasonal business, which means it does get incredibly busy at times. The ability to work in a controlled focused manner while under pressure is imperative. Full training will be given.

Our unit operates on a four-day week basis, Monday to Thursday 7am – 5:30pm. Your shift will be Monday to Thursday 9:00am - 4:00pm with a daily 20 minutes paid break and 40 minutes unpaid break - hours may vary.
Key tasks:
- Regular stock takes of products, packaging and consumables
- Updating stock spreadsheets
- Batch coding products using thermal printing equipment and update records
- Liaising with logistic manager
- Packing products into outer packaging
- Loading/unloading vans and lorries
- Receiving deliveries and completing required paperwork
- Boxing up and sending Wholesale orders as well as eCommerce orders
- Creating shipments with DPD and our Pallet network using online softwares
- Booking in deliveries with our larger wholesale customers
- Liaising with customers with any delay or delivery problems etc.
- Keeping your work area clean, organised and tidy and taking responsibility for this
- Follow cleaning procedures
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times, fill out paperwork and PPE
Essential requirements:
- Great computer literacy and skills (good Microsoft Office knowledge essential).
- Good organisational skills, and ability to multi-task.
- Great written and spoken English, and customer service skills.
- Ability to problem solve and take initiative.
- Level 2 Certificate for Hygiene and Safety in Food Handling (training can be provided)
- Understanding of hygiene and safety practices in food handling (training will be provided)
- Understanding of health and safety requirements with carrying heavy loads and moving equipment such as trolleys (training will be provided)
