Packaging Team Leader
Tiverton, £35,000pa
Permanent Contract
Hours: Monday to Friday, 6am – 2pm
gap personnel Exeter are currently recruiting for an experienced Packaging Team Leader based in Tiverton.
Reporting directly to the Shift Manager you will deputise in their absence and support the Packaging Manager in the supervision and develop of the packaging team whose primary objective is to meet the packaging schedule. All of this whilst conforming to all product specifications and maintaining a high standard of hygiene and housekeeping. Keeping product and material losses to a minimum, ensuring equipment is maintained and that all Health and Safety requirement are adhered too.
Key responsibilities as a Packaging Team Leader:
- Report daily/weekly efficiencies accurately.
- Ensure team members utilise all machine running time.
- Ensure all cleaning schedules are completed weekly including asset care to be carried out as per company procedures.
- Raise corrective actions to Engineer continuous improvement Leader to address any non-conformances.
- Have zero reworking due to packaging error.
- Promote a right first time attitude.
- Follow the weekly production schedule, flagging any issues that may cause disruption report this to the Shift Manger.
- Liaise with cross functional department to ensure efficient running of the Production department.
- Ensuring materials stocks movements are adhered too. Liaising with Goods In department that all stock movement are correct using correct transaction code in SAP.
About you & experiences required:
- GCSE’s including Math and English
- Food related Hygiene course
- 2 years’ experience in a foods or foods related environment
- Supervisory skills
- Computer literate
- SAP knowledge and able to report accurately
