Cogent Staffing are recruiting for experienced Order Picker/Warehouse Operatives to join our client based in Macclesfield SK10. Becoming part of the warehouse team, it is essential you are able to pick and pack orders as well as carry out any other warehouse duties within reason of the role.

Shift/salary:

• Monday to Friday
• 09:00-18:00 or 06:00-15:00
• 1 hour unpaid break per day
• 40 hours paid per week
• £11.50 per hour

The role:

• Locating and picking items in the warehouse
• Picking orders, packing
• Packing, wrapping and stacking orders
• Locating and using the correct packaging materials to wrap and pack orders
• Labelling
• Completing any necessary paperwork
• Working with a heavy product throughout the shift
• Complying with company values, standards, health & safety policies and manual handling requirements
• Working carefully with very fragile materials
• Disposing of waste packaging and any other waste materials responsibly
• Keeping all work areas and areas of the warehouse clean and tidy

The candidate:

• Has a good eye for detail
• Can work in a timely and accurate fashion
• Can read, write and understand English to a good level
• Has a good understanding of manual handling as well as health & safety in a warehouse, goods in/out environment
• Has a considered approach to working with fragile materials
