Job description
We are looking for fantastic people to join our Packaging team, as part of our fantastic Company nestled in Lacock, Wiltshire. Working with us means joining a community of experienced and passionate colleagues who take pride in working for the largest supplier of free-range and organic eggs in the UK.
This role is based within our Packing Centre; where we store, grade and package all our shelled organic and free-range eggs.
We have a variety of shift patterns available:
- 4 on 4 off, 06:00 - 18:00 (£10.30ph)
- Monday to Friday, 07:30 - 16:30 (£10.60ph + 20p/ph FLT premium) - FLT licence essential
Key Tasks and Duties:
- Supply the production team with the packaging required based on the plan, whilst recording all relevant traceability and quantities supplied and returned.
- Unloading lorries from suppliers and recording traceability and putting away deliveries in designated areas, whilst following Manual Handling procedures.
- General housekeeping and organising the warehouse, ensuring department is audit ready at all times.
- Working in a variety of different temperature controlled environments across various warehouse departments.
- To assist in the completion of all orders set out on the plan as requested by the Manager / Supervisor / Team Leader.
- To ensure that food materials (raw and cooked) handled by you are safe, legal and of the quality expected by the business and customer.
- To promote a culture of dignity and respect amongst staff
- To develop a working environment that is free from intimidation, harassment and bullying
- Work as part of a team and carry out tasks according to instructions.

Health and Safety
- Be safety conscious in every task you perform and lookout for the safety of others working around you.
- Only Operate Machinery you are trained to use.
- Ensure you use the correct PPE for the task and that the PPE is in good condition.
- Ensure correct manual handling procedures are followed.
- Report and H&S concerns immediately.
Food Safety
- Level 2 or above Food Safety is advantageous but not essential as training will be provided.
- Must be willing to undertake the food safety qualification during probationary period. Employment confirmation is based on ability to pass these mandatory qualifications.
- Comply with all hygiene and food safety procedures.
- Report and Food Safety concerns immediately.
