Our client is currently searching or a Packaging Supervisor
The Packaging Supervisor coordinates all activities of production workers, including operational, personnel, and administrative tasks. Develop, run, and lead a performance-oriented team-based staff. This position reports to the Operations Manager.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Supervise production workers, operational, personnel, and administrative tasks.
- Daily staffing of operations.
- Daily responsibility for line operations.
- Safety requirements, Production, and Machinery
Management Responsibility:
- Directly responsible for hourly workers and indirectly overseeing maintenance staff.
- Leads full shift responsibility.
- Ensure Safety Requirements are always met.
- Up to 40 hourly workers and lead personnel as applicable.
- Develop hourly employees to perform in a self-directed environment.
- Carry out employee policies and procedures and applicable laws.
Supervisory:
- In accordance with company policy and applicable laws.
- Planning, assigning, and directing employees’ work.
- Ensure efficient production is achieved and standards are met.
- Optimize safety, quality, and production.
- Communicate production schedules and schedule changes to appropriate departments.
- Ensure all monthly safety and food safety audits are completed on time, all corrective action items are completed, and all workers understand the goals.
- Review all production paperwork and ensure all paperwork is filled out accurately and completely.
- Assist other departments with material quality, package quality, and other production-related issues.
- Work with management staff on safety issues, employee concerns, productivity, and quality.
Experience:
- Two-plus years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing plant; BA/BS in Business, Management, or Engineering
- Ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Comply with all Occupational Health and Safety requirements.
