The Role
The packaging team sits within our Funding function and is responsible for pre-underwriting, external transactions and managing Funder relationships. In addition, they provide support to other lending processes/teams including Credit and Deal Processing.
Relevant Responsibilities
- Search and pre- underwrite all applications for our external funder panel making sure own book has been utilised first if relevant
- Use your knowledge of the funders to identify which one provides the best option for each deal and ensure they are received in the most appropriate amount of detail (write up and supporting information)
- Communicate funder decisions on system in order to communicate with internal sales team
- Forward additional information to funders to support referrals
- Completing MAX quotes in order to maximise comms for both the business and salesperson
- Assist the team in achieving SLA
- Effectively interact with the sales team and other departments
- Conduct yourself professionally at all times and communicate in an acceptable manner to all stakeholders (both internal and external)
- Demonstrate negotiation skills in appealing decisions when necessary
- Demonstrate a complete commitment to delivering excellent customer service to the stakeholders
- Ensure all proposals are checked and the usual authenticity / fraud checks are conducted and adhered to at all time
- Assist in documenting procedures to minimise risk and ensure good practise on the team
- Build relationships with key contacts at the funders
- Assist other White Oak companies, when they require further funding options
- Identify new business opportunities by monitoring external funder appetites and products.
- Any other request deemed reasonable from your line managers
