Description / Details of the Role:
To assist my Son who is 9 years old and has a diagnosis of ASD and is full of energy, to access social activities in the community whilst also increasing his independence and ensuring maximum enjoyment and benefit.
To provide support and assistance to enable my Son to achieve his full potential (which may include some personal care)
My Son’s interest include going to play parks, bowling, swimming, being outdoors and active, going to the beach. He will require constant supervision to take part.
You will be supporting my Son to partake in the activities he enjoys, keeping him safe, supervising him at all times and ensuring he has fun!
Some knowledge of ASD and associated challenging behaviour would be beneficial.
Key main tasks:
· Support outside of the home to access social opportunities and activities
· Support with communication and ensuring understanding
· Developing social skills and independence
Hourly rate of pay: £10.42
Hours available: 4 hours per week during school term time and 8 hours a week during school holidays (13 weeks per year)
Days/hours to be discussed and agreed but likely to be flexible
An enhanced DBS for working with children will be required, which I will arrange if an up to date clearance is not available.
Access to a vehicle and valid business car insurance would be preferable but not essential.
