PA / Administrator

About the Organisation:

National Services Scotland (NSS) is a national NHS Board operating right at the heart of NHSScotland providing invaluable support and advice at a strategic and operational level. NSS supports customers to deliver their services more efficiently and effectively and we offer shared services on a national scale using best-in-class systems and standards. Our priority is always the same – to improve the health and well-being of the people of Scotland. We do this by working in partnership with colleagues across Health and Social Care to deliver fit for purpose solutions and systems, delivering high quality services that help our stakeholders to free up resources so they can be re-invested into essential services.

The Post:

ARHAI Scotland leads and supports efforts to prevent healthcare associated infection by means of guidance development, surveillance, operational support and training, covering areas such as surgical-site surveillance, decontamination, microbiological surveillance, research and infection prevention and control.

We are currently seeking a PA /Administrator to provide confidential administrative, secretarial and support services of the highest quality across ARHAI Scotland.

The Candidate:

Are you well organised and have good attention to detail? Someone who can proactively think two steps ahead when working in a fast-paced environment? Would you like an opportunity to enhance your administrative skills across a variety of areas? Why not consider an opportunity to work as a PA/Administrator within Antimicrobial Resistance & Healthcare Associated Infection (ARHAI) Scotland?

You should be educated to HNC in Office Administration or related subject, have knowledge of all Microsoft Office packages and essentially accurate minute taking skills.

We are looking for someone with an enthusiastic approach and experience in a similar role. Successful candidates must have well-developed organisational abilities and a flexible approach to working as you need to be unflappable and resilient when you need to get things done. You must also have the confidence to act on your own initiative particularly when dealing with confidential administrative duties and enquiries on behalf of the wider team.

As secretariat for multiple ARHAI meetings we need someone who has good interpersonal and communication skills as you will be interacting closely with colleagues across all teams and engaging with key stakeholders from across Scotland.
