Job summary

The P-8A Flight Programming Assistant will work with the Tactical Operations Centre (TOC) supporting P-8A POSEIDON activity. The role will assist in the production of the long-and-short-term Poseidon flying programme as well as coordinating training requirements and output in line with the direction from Force Headquarters.

This post is advertised as Full Time at 37 hours per week.

Job description

The post holder will be responsible for:

Supporting the production of the event programme to support of Poseidon Squadron activity.

Assisting with the production of the long-and-short-term flying programme to support all air and ground-based events.

Liaising with multiple internal and external stakeholders to ensure that training and operational requirements are met.

Engaging with the Force Headquarters to confirm prioritisation for the fleet.

Chairing the weekly planning meeting (as required).

Supporting the Planning Team Lead as required.

Person specification

The ability to communicate effectively is essential as you will be engaging with a variety of stakeholders both internally and externally.

You will require strong IT Skills with a strong knowledge of Microsoft Office 365.

The ability to work well in a team and independently is essential as you will be working within a small team and will be integral to ensure mission success.
