  • To arrange shipment of export orders, packed at either SRL or Leicester to the customer, world-wide.
  • To prepare all necessary documentation for each shipment according to the relevant legislation for the mode of
  • Transport (road/air/sea).
  • To adopt the dedicated freight booking systems for all transportation accounts.
  • Ensure that for each shipment where VAT has not been charged that a relevant certificate of shipment / copy b/l has been received to enable the file to be closed.
  • Monitor the SRL packed export / IC order list to ensure all shipments move out promptly.
  • Answering customers or sales personnel request for shipment / vessel details and updates with paperwork.
  • Compare freight quotations from different forwarders to ensure Bostik are obtaining the most competitive freight rates.
  • Prioritize workload to ensure those shipments with priority deadline dispatch dates i.e. VIP Accounts are attended to on time.
  • Assisting Laboratory / UK sales personnel with the need to send samples to various world-wide locations.
  • To keep export sales personnel aware of any issues with shipments i.e. late vessel sailings or delays with paperwork.

CONTEXT AND ENVIRONMENT

This role operates within the very busy and ever-changing world of Customs and Shipping. The prime focus is to ensure all shipments move out promptly and that all relevant paperwork is prepared in accordance with the customer’s demands. Working with freight forwarders you will need to ensure that Bostik are receiving the best freight rates possible. You will need to lease with personnel from both the C&C, AP and DG aspects of the business.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

All shipping documentation to be processed and maintained in accordance with departmental standards. Tidy housekeeping is essential to ensure all necessary paperwork is retained following dispatch of goods.

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • 2 to 3 Years Office experience
