Job description
Responsible primarily for corporate and midweek banquet sales. Performs weekly sales calls to Hayward and greater area business and corporate accounts. Conducts site tours for qualified leads. Knows how to close the sales process. Must be able to provide their own transportation.
Duties & Responsibilities:

· Professional in appearance, enjoys meeting new individuals and expanding their client network
· Conducts weekly sales calls to businesses and nonprofits needing banquet meeting space
· Actively participates in networking groups, business associations, while gathering leads
· Must be a high influencer who builds trust.
· Possesses impeccable integrity, reliable to follow through on tasks.
· Efficient and organized, able to multi-task.
· Excellent listener, able to understand clients’ requirements and provide good resolution.
· May need to act as the liaison between Sales and Operations to ensure all event expectations and requirements are met.
· Works interdepartmentally to assist with planning and execution of private events and member related events
· Generates Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) with great attention to detail
· Quick learner of Club software and administrative processes. Record keeping is complete and thorough.
· Responsible for maintaining pipeline of leads, and updating with forecast and pace reports.
· Hosts member events to promote various ways members may host banquet events.
· Follows up with clients throughout to ensure information is current and complete. Quick to collect payment in a timely manner.
· Updates BEOs and keeps departments aware of any last minute changes.
· Proactive at protecting the Club from potential risk and liability. Responsible to ensure no laws are broken, and health and safety regulations are followed at all times.
· Must be hands on able to jump in and participate with operations if necessary.
· A fulltime position requiring 40 hours per week minimum. Work schedule may change to best accommodate Club operating needs.
· Moderate physical work is expected. Must be able to lift 25-40 pounds, as well as be able to stand for up to 5 hours without sitting.
The ideal candidate will have:
· 1-2 years background in sales and catering experience
· Worked in the Hayward, greater East Bay business community.
· Energetic, self-starter, who is goal oriented and follows through in meeting deadlines.
· Flexible in work schedule to accommodate client and club needs.
· Comfortable making cold calls in person.
· Worked in a golf or private country club.
· Jonas experienced, or able to pick up office software quickly.
Minimum Requirements for the position include:
· 1-2 years of Club or Hospitality management, Catering or Event Planning experience.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills.
· Always sees business opportunities.
· Strong passion for customer service. Enjoys taking care of others.
· Highly organized, with great attention to detail.
