Job description
Be fully conversant with the computerised appointments system. Scan referrals on to and obtain information from Scanman the Trusts IT system for handling referrals. Refer each patient to the relevant Consultant/Clinician on the computerised Patient Administration System (PAS). Full training and support will be provided, with any changes or modifications to procedures, processes or systems to being explained where necessary and additional training given if required, enabling the effective and accurate collection of information Contact patients by phone agreeing a mutually agreeable appointment date taking into account National, Local and Trust targets, recording all offered appointments on to the PAS system.
Build and maintain a detailed knowledge of Outpatient specialties, consultants, clinic codes, booking rules and services. To be aware of and comply with the Health and Safety Policy and Procedures.
