Outpatient Receptionist - for 12 months fixed term opportunity
- In advance of the start of the clinic, ensure that the clinic is made aware of any problems
- To ensure that all patients are received and directed to the appropriate waiting area or department,
- To ensure that patients demographic details are always kept up to date
- To use the Patient Administration System , to book patients in and out of clinic
We are looking to appoint an outpatient receptionists to support the day to day running of outpatient reception team.
You should have proven customer care skills or worked in a customer care focused environment. You will need to be able to work in a calm, logical and methodical way but be able to multi-task whilst dealing with frequent interruptions, and you must possess effective communication skills able to work well under pressure and be a key team player.

- Key responsibilities of the role are reception duties, greeting patients, checking demographics, guiding patients to the correct waiting area and arranging follow up appointments. Administrative duties include answering patient queries, answering calls and booking appointments, , registering patients, sending emails, arranging transport and liaising with other healthcare professionals.

- To ensure that patients demographic details are always kept up to date on the Patient Administration System (Lorenzo) system.
