Job Overview
Our large High Ropes course has been established for 11 years in a sheltered woodland bowl on the Kelvedon Hatch Secret Nuclear Bunker estate. You will be responsible for supporting the existing management team in the safe operation of our multi-activity site.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Welcome guests and prepare them to take part in their chosen activity.
- Assist in successfully delivering the adventure, ensuring a great customer experience, caring for equipment, managing facilities, Health & Safety and some administration
- Ensure guests complete relevant paperwork and comply with company rules and policy.
- Instruct and brief guests on safety procedures prior to commencing activities.
- Monitor the safety of guests while they are with us.
- Comply with all relevant health & safety procedures.
- Assist with risk assessments and method statements where required.
- Carry out course maintenance checks and remedial works.
- Oversee the daily operation of the site in the absence of the Site Manager
- Lead the site team and ensure the highest standard of customer service and safety
- Act as mentor and coach to the team, feeding back to or escalating to the site manager with recommendations for action where appropriate.
- Minimising and investigating customer complaints, swiftly resolving any issues.
- Participating in local marketing initiatives and raising brand awareness withing the community.
- Assisting in the wider business including Nuclear Races & Wild Forest Obstacle Centre.
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience working within an Outdoor Centre
- Previous instructional experience
- Experience managing a team
- Marketing and sales experience
- Practical DIY & maintenance skills
- Computer literate
- First Aid Qualified
Working hours
You will be contracted 30 hours a week. This will include weekdays, weekends, bank holidays and school holidays.
It is expected that you will work additional paid overtime during school holidays and throughout the summer.
