The Company
Bakkavor Desserts is based in Newark, Nottinghamshire and specialises in making chilled desserts such as trifles, eclairs, cream cakes and choux pastries. The site employs over 1,900 people from many different cultures and is one of eight factories that are part of the Bakkavor Bakery sector in the UK.
A fantastic opportunity has opened up to join our Outbound Logistics department, working primarily within the fast paced chilled outbound logistic area.
The Role;
The Outbound Logistics department is vital to our business. Not everything can be done by machinery and that’s where YOU come in! As our business’ key selling point is handcrafted products it is essential that we have hard working committed people working within our team.
Duties will include;
- Picking time critical orders using hand held terminals (Guns) within a fast paced chilled environment
- Pelleting and hand wrapping completed pallets
- Use of manual pump trucks to complete pallet movements
- Collecting pre-palletised products from the end of lines in five factory bays and delivering them to the Outbound Logistics chilled area
PPE will be provided by the company including boots, coat, hat, and gloves.
