About the Role:
As an Associate, Program Management, you will support data & analytics governance at Oscar. You'll implement and manage data science programs including Certified Datasets, data quality, dataset ownership and usage monitoring. You will work with a variety of different stakeholders to coordinate different activities, but they all have one thing in common: delivering data quality excellence.
You will report into a Program Manager, Data Governance. This is a remote / work-from-home role. You must reside in one of the following states: Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, or Washington, D.C. Note, this list of states is subject to change. #LI-Remote
The base pay for this role in the states of California, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, and Washington is: $96,000-$126,000 per year. The base pay for this role in all other locations is: $86,400-$113,400 per year. You are also eligible for employee benefits, participation in Oscar's unlimited vacation program, and annual performance bonuses.
You must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Oscar will not sponsor applicants for this role.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in implementing best practices, policies, procedures and standards to ensure data reliability, completeness, accuracy and consistency
- Analyze data and workflows to determine quality-related trends and issues
- Develop and implement recommendations for policy improvements
- Implement project management strategies such as project scoping, risk tracking and/or project timeline mapping
- Plan and coordinate initiatives to monitor data usage and associated costs
- Collaborate within Data Science and with other departments to deliver on Data Science programs
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in project management, data, healthcare, strategy or consulting
- 2+ years of experience with common project management tools such as Jira or Monday.com
- Familiarity with SQL, R, and/or Python to query, manipulate and analyze data and relational data models
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly the ability to synthesize complex issues/scenarios for various non-technical stakeholders
Bonus Points:
- A strong analytical background with the ability to quickly digest and evaluate complex and large data sets
- Experience working with healthcare data, analytics and reporting
- A background in healthcare and/or insurance
- Knowledge of how to develop dashboards and working with Looker or other business intelligence/data visualization tools

Pay Transparency:
Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education, and experience.
