Guardian is one of the largest glass producers and innovators in the world. All UK manufacturing is based at the plant in Goole, East Yorkshire which has recently made significant investment in a new furnace that uses advanced technology and will secure glass manufacture at the site for the next 20 years. We are looking to recruit current or recent graduates to join our team to help drive our exciting business transformation. Successful candidates will take part in a graduate development programme involving placements within the different areas of our business, working on specific projects or with specific teams to grow their technical and/or supervisory experience. The programme will be tailored to you to ensure you can develop as, at Guardian, we believe individuals need different experiences to really develop their capabilities, it's not one size fits all here. What You Will Do In Your Role
You will undertake a series of placements in a range of departments.- You will be given real responsibilities and projects with the expectation that you make a meaningful contribution to the performance of the business.
- You will be given the necessary training to perform your responsibilities, and you will have access to the plant leaders to give you the support you need.
Requirements:
- A degree in a science, technology, manufacturing or engineering subject.
- A passion for learning, and applying that learning to create value.
- The motivation to identify and deliver profitable opportunities for improvement.
- The confidence to challenge the status quo, and the drive to deliver results.
- The ability to prioritise and work proactively.
- Evidence of strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to communicate and engage with people at all levels of the organisation.
- Experience and confidence in the use of IT packages, in particular Microsoft Office.
