Job description
Our ideal candidate will need to have previous experience as a Multi Trader/Handy Person. Awareness of property standards and health and safety standards. Produce a good standard of work and keep to deadlines.
A full driving license is a requirement for this position, as you will be required to carry out works in multiple void properties within the Wandsworth area. (A parking permit will be issued for all estates).
Duties and Responsibilities:
You will be undertaking jobs such as:
- Painting and decorating.
- Repairing and installing fire check doors.
- Bathroom and toilet repairs (eg. installing syphons, repairing faulty fixtures, replacing baths, installing shower screens etc).
- Kitchens (installing units, worktops, and plumbing necessities).
- Tiling, sealing and re-grouting baths/showers/worktops.
- Fitting vinyl floor tiles.
- Repairing kitchen cupboards, doors, drawers, etc.
- Mould washing walls and ceilings where required.
- Installing blinds and curtains.
- Removing all furniture and rubbish within the properties. (We will dispose of).
- Cleaning throughout the voids (including kitchen appliances.)
Completion times:
All void properties have a 2-week turnaround period to be fully completed. Time frames will be extended for certain circumstances i.e. (larger voids, bad condition voids etc).
All properties will be snagged and signed off by Wandsworth council on completion date. All snags will need to be completed before undertaking any new void projects.
Salary:
This position is price-work set at a scheduled rate.
