Envertiz Consultancy is an International Healthcare recruiter supporting NHS in its International Healthcare recruitment. Our Education and training division is looking for OSCE Educators or Clinical educators to join our training team in Oxford.
You will be part of a team that trains nurses from all over the world in order to help them pass their exams and become registered nurses in the United Kingdom. You will have the option to work from a purpose-built, equipped training centre in Oxford.
Main responsibilities
- To contribute in the development of a bespoke curriculum in line with the Nursing and Midwifery Council’s (NMC) standards and competencies for all nurses and midwives.
- To successfully implement the Training Centre’s operational curriculum and quality plans to individuals or groups.
- Identify and support the delivery of the clinical education OSCE programmes.
- Act as a role model and mentor for the nurses from the point of recruitment to arrival, supporting them to transition into a hospital setting and ensuring they are well briefed on what to expect.
- Link with the broader teams to ensure cross-organisational learning and best practice.
- Provide specialist advice on factors that will improve the training and supervision required for the recruitment of international nurses
- Ensure that a process enables nurses to have the clinical skills to sit the OSCE’s on time.
- To provide academic, professional and practical support to international nurses in preparing for their OSCE.
- To assess the performance of the training programme by conducting regular reviews and feedback from users and customers to improve the effectiveness of the curriculum.
Qualifications
- You must be a Registered Nurse in the UK, preferably obtained NMC pin number through the OSCE route
- Significant post-registration experience
- Must be familiar with the OSCE exam
- Must be familiar with the tools and techniques used for simulating OSCE assessments
- Possession of a teaching and/or mentorship qualification or equivalent experience in practice
- Possession of an Immediate Life support/Advanced life support course and a manual handling qualification
- Have strong communication skills
Hours: Monday to Friday (40 hours weekly)
