Summary of the role
This is an exciting opportunity to lead the Organisation Design and Development of a complex change programme that will transform the way Professional Services delivers core service to its staff. The SSC Programme, sponsored by the University’s Registrar, will create a new Shared Service Centre delivering user-focused innovative service, that uses data and new technology alongside highly skilled staff with a strong understanding of user experience and journeys to underpin continual improvement.
We believe that excellence in Organisation Design and Development is a critical component to creating a service operating model and design that achieves our objectives, enables staff to thrive, and ensures change to the new operating model is a positive experience for staff. The OD& D lead will be part of the core SSC Programme Team, and will work closely with the new Shared Services Director and the Deputy Director HR. They will be responsible for the design and successful implementation of the service operating model, organisation design, job design, reward and recognition, training and development, culture and other people aspects of designing the new service.
We would particularly like to hear from OD&D specialists with experience of Shared Service Centre or similar organisation and developments.
