Job Description
Key role is reading of customer orders, selection of products from walk in freezers and packaging the items into boxes in preparation for delivery to, or collection by the customer.
- Part time position, £11 per hour, 12 hours per week, with additional hours for holiday and sickness cover.
- Serving and advising customers around the products in the retail area.
- Lifting, moving and handling frozen stock is a requirement of the role, the maximum weight of any one item is 20 kilograms. Lifting, wrapping, labelling and loading of products for shipping is the key function of the packing role, whilst working to health and safety guidelines set by the business to ensure employee safety.
- Joint responsibility for the packing area, maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe working environment requiring some standard scheduled sweeping and cleaning of work surfaces.
- Making management aware of any discrepancies regarding missing stock for customer orders.
- Utilises a continuous improvement mindset, assisting in identifying opportunities to improve processes and efficiencies.
- Carrying out accurate stock counts when required.
- Performs other duties as assigned including: Store and freezer cleaning and stock rotation.
- Interact with customers in a professional manner.
- Must have a positive attitude, solid work ethic, good telephone manner and social skills.
- Working within a small motivated and dedicated team, full training and support provided.
