Order Picker / Packer Birchwood
Job description
Located Warrington, Birchwood within short walking distance of the shopping centre.
We are looking for a happy, trustworthy, sensible and flexible employee to join our online retail business in a temporary spring/summer/autumn role.
Time will typically be spent fulfilling orders, picking, packing and preparing them for dispatch. It is not a pressured role but you ought to be able to work at a consistent and upbeat pace and enjoy working quickly and be prepared to adjust to the pace of demand.
You may be required to lift larger parcels weighing usually no more than 15kg although most packages you handle with be less than 2kg in weight.
The role will offer at least 20 hours a week rising in peak summer time. The hours are fairly flexible allowing you to come and go between 8am and 6pm. We have core hours of 10.30am-4.30pm where you would be expected to be present with freedom to flex your hours on either side.
You would be asked to commit to 3 days a week rising to 4 days at peak times. For most of the contract you would be covering Monday/Tuesday/Fridays and during peak times, this could change to include either a Saturday or Sunday. There may be additional hours beyond this during the other week days if sought.
The role whilst not limited to, would perhaps appeal to a staff member with children where they could work whilst children were at school or where they would benefit from not having strong targeted start/finish times.
All hours are clocked and paid out in accordance with attendance less a lunch period.

Extra consideration given to candidates who provide particular reason with their application as to why they judge themselves to be suited to this role and to any candidates with computer experience, particularly with graphics and Adobe Photoshop.
