What is the Role?
SSE are looking for a highly motivated Test Team Leader to join our Oracle eBusiness (EBS) Delivery and Support group within SSE IT. The Oracle EBS Test team are primarily responsible for ensuring the quality of all aspects of testing for every release of SSE's business critical Oracle EBS system.
- Responsibility for the smooth day to day running of the Oracle EBS Test team, including setting the team's priorities and their ensuring the welfare.
- Making sure the testing, is managed to agreed challenging but realistic timescales which, testing encompasses: small scale fixes; enhancement requests; regulatory and statutory requirements; security patches and major projects including software upgrades.
- You will be the major contributor and guardian of the groups testing methodologies and strategies, maintain the overall quality of releases and when required, help current EBS Users with advice and guidance on UAT Testing strategy.
- Working with both senior business users and the EBS development teams to analyse new functionality and identify any new testing requirements.
- Assisting in the development and maintenance of team documentation, developing test plans and test data and conducting all tests in-line with Oracle best practice and agreed company standards.
What do I need?
- Have experience of testing an Oracle EBS application module at a medium/large organization and possess a conceptual understanding of Oracle databases and tables, knowledge and experience of Release 12 of Oracle eBusiness applications across a multi org set up.
- Strong management skills, an excellent team player, know how to get the best from a team and committed to providing first-class customer service.
- Have a systematic, disciplined and analytical approach to Testing with the ability to prioritise workload and adhere to demanding schedules.
- In Depth knowledge on all aspects of Testing management including a sound awareness of IT Change Management and Security policies.
- Demonstrate the ability to identify and implement innovative & effective Testing improvements.
