Apprenticeship summary
What will the apprentice be doing?
● Be competent across a range of mobile plant to possibly include ADT, Wheeled Loader and tracked machines.
● Demonstrate the willingness and aptitude to operate large processing equipment.
● Ensure all Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental standards are adhered to.
● Support in ensuring that all processing activities and production demands are satisfied.
● Be responsible for rigorously applying Sibelco UK’s H&S Policy. Ensuring systems, standards and written systems are applied at all times maintaining a strong health and safety culture.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
● The Apprentice will be enrolled onto a Level 2 Mineral Processing Mobile and Static Plant Operator and MP Skills will be the Apprenticeship training provider.
● The bulk of the training will take place at one of our Devon sites. However, the Apprentice may need to attend some training days off site at the M P Skills Training centre in Somerset or Nottingham during the apprenticeship. These days will be spread across the apprenticeship and more information on this will be provided during the recruitment process.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
● Sibelco UK Ltd has a proud history of training apprentices over many years with many previous apprentices going on to work in the business. We aim to try and work with all of our Apprentices after they have completed and passed their Apprenticeship. Where this is not possible, we will provide support to the Apprentice to assist them in finding another role within the industry.
