Job title – Operative Salary - £25,889.76 Location – Based at our Goverseth Refiner – Cornwall
Hours - 7am-7pm (1h break) a 12-hour shift over a two-week rotation period, working 7 days out of 14 which includes weekends. This is the perfect opportunity for those seeking work/ life balance and to start your career with us.

The Operative will maintain optimised operation of the Goverseth Makedown Plant process in accordance with HSE and Site procedures, reporting to the Day Capitan.
Key responsibilities include:
To operate a front-end loader in accordance with the manufacturers operations manual and Imerys rules, procedures & guidance (RPG) for mobile plant. (To include pre-shift checks & maintenance).
To operate the two different makedown processes in accordance with site and Imerys procedures from dry stock movement through to the controlled destination of the final slurry product.
Operating in both make-down processes, by operating the front-end loader, filling and monitoring the feed hopper system, operating conveyors, grinders and pumps, monitoring chemical addition and associated process monitoring controls.
To receive, record and assist in the stock control of dry bulk materials into the makedown plant storage area.
Maintain receipts and stock control of feeds
Take samples of feeds and products according to daily instructions;
Backup for receiving chemical deliveries as will be on site normally when loads arrive;

In return we ask for: Some refining or processing knowledge (not essential, but beneficial) to include operational experience and competency in the use of SCADA or process controls;
Have the required aptitude to learn a range of complex refining processes.
Good numeracy and literacy skills.
Be flexible to work in different areas as required and have the ability to work to demanding and changing priorities.
Have excellent EHS knowledge and awareness including COSHH.
Have the ability to work using your own initiative, without close supervision and to work effectively as part of a team.
Demonstrate a willingness to undertake further training.
