Operations Team Manager (Nights)
£42,400 pa including night premium (+ Health Cash Plan, Death in Service and Pension following successful probationary period).
Core Hours : 20:30 – 08:30, 4 days on, 4 days off.
Location: Charlton Park Crematorium, Andover Hampshire

Pure Cremation Limited is a specialist Company providing Direct Cremation funeral services. The team has more than 30 years’ experience of serving the bereaved and the people that matter to them.
We are seeking 2 At-Need Operations Manager (Nights), to join our fast paced, forward thinking Group of Companies.
The main purpose of the role includes managing the Client Care Team (Nights), who liaise directly with our individual At-Need families and our Funeral Director customers.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Through our Operations Team Manager, Operations Scheduling Manager and our Crematorium Team you will oversee the team’s performance and ensure internal resources are allocated correctly to allow the Company’s service levels to be met and also to ensure compliance with all documented procedures.
Ideally you will be experienced in leadership and people management. A passion for client care will enable you to ensure our families receive a sensitive, dignified and comforting experience. You will interact with all of your team, demonstrating positive behaviours and leadership to your colleagues at the call centre and out on the road.

Key Skills requirement:
- Leadership - you will have strong influencing, leadership and people management skills with a hands-on approach to management.
- Communication – Have excellent listening and communication skills to be able to answer customer questions, extract appropriate information and deliver outstanding Customer care; being especially aware that some customers may be vulnerable.
- Accuracy – Must have the ability to record information in an accurate way and ensure that all process and procedures are adhered with in a methodical and compliant way.
About you:
- You will have a proven track record of at least 3 years in an operational and leadership role.
- You will be a resilient individual with a focus on staff well-being
- You will have the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- You will be comfortable in communicating with bereaved families and relevant external agencies.
- You will be a practical problem solver.
- You must be able to work in a physically demanding role and be conversant with manual handling techniques
Skills and Experience:
- Previous experience in the funeral industry preferred but not essential.
- Previous experience of night time working preferable.
- Excellent client service and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage own workload, self-starter, team player.
- A track record of people and performance management
