Job description
- Manage a team of operational colleagues and make sure their attend times planned, and managed in line with company guidelines
- Ensure one-to-one communication with the customer is maintained in a timely and professional manner, to ensure that customer priorities are discussed, agreed, and achieved through daily workload planning
- Support all actions identified to reduce damages & drive down cost
- Maintain good housekeeping practices throughout the working areas.
- Ensure that all new team members undergo a full induction and training process.
- Identify any training/development requirements for direct reports and actively encourage apprenticeship schemes
- Manage health and safety across all aspects of site ensuring that the corporate culture is adhered to and everyone is responsible for their own safety and wellbeing in the workplace
- Motivated self-starter, comfortable working as part of a team and as an individual
- Passion, drive and ambition to make a career in supply chain
- Good communicator with good influencing skills who can operate at all levels
- Excellent Organisational Skills
- Ability to Work on own initiative
- Flexible and supportive of customer contract and Wincanton requirements
