Business Support Assistant (IT and Operations Support)
At Beatson Cancer Charity we support and enhance the treatment, care and wellbeing of current, former and future cancer patients and their families. We work in partnership with the NHS, The Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre and all related facilities. Salary: £19,838 per annum
Contract: Permanent; 35 hours Monday to Friday (Hybrid Working)
Holidays: 40 days per annum (inclusive of public holidays)
Pension: 7% employer, 3% employee contributions
Reporting to: Business Support Manager
Following recent IT developments and growth across our Charity we have created a new role of Business Support Assistant who will support in the day-to-day delivery of high-quality support services. These support services include:
· Information, Communications & Technology (ICT)
Office365, CRM
· Management Information Systems (MIS)
· General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) compliance
· Facilities Administration
· Health and Safety Administration (H&S)
We are looking for an individual who can demonstrate a willingness to learn from an experienced Business Support Manager and approach supporting colleagues across the Charity with enthusiasm and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintenance of IT and related equipment asset register for the Charity.
- Support of the organisational customer relationship management (CRM) system, including system development, data organisation and compliance.
- Active management to minimise the cybersecurity threat through pro-active measures including an appropriate level of cyber security certification.
- Administration of day-to-day facilities requirements including liaising with NHS, delegating logging jobs on both the NHS facilities and ordering systems.
- Support with awareness sessions and training for staff across these support areas.
Essential Candidate Criteria
- Qualification (for example, NC in Computing) or equivalent experience in a similar role.
- Experience of business support delivery in at least one relevant area – ICT, MIS, GDPR, Facilities or H&S Administration.
- Interest and/or aptitude in one of the relevant areas – ICT, MIS, GDPR, Facilities or H&S Administration.
- Understanding of GDPR requirements.
