Job description
We have an exciting opportunity for 1, or potentially 2 people job sharing, to join and support our Operations Team throughout our busy events calendar.
Reporting to the Operations Support Manager, you will assist them to ensure each of our events is properly kitted with the correct equipment and your time will be split between planning, preparing, and certifying that every event is supported logistically. The working day will never quite be the same and you could find yourself restocking packs, reassembling kit bags, washing our fleet of vehicles, or preparing for the next event.
The position(s) utilises an annualised hour’s structure to allow for the nature of events work and will involve some weekend working – this is not your ordinary 9-5, and there is also the potential for the right candidate to travel nationwide.
Key Responsibilities
- To date check all consumables, including medications, and ensure equipment bags, medical bags and vehicles are restocked to load lists as per Arley Medical Services (AMS) policies and remove stock where appropriate.
- Keep up to date records of all local stock levels in each location and keep a stock loan and return log appropriately using systems provided.
- Ensure all stock and uniforms are at effective levels and in the appropriate storage locations locally, to enable efficient deployment when needed.
- Ensure that all AMS vehicles and equipment are deep cleaned thoroughly and effectively to stringent IPC policy standards, to the agreed schedule and in a timely manner.
- Check vehicles on return to base/prior to use and notify the OSM of any defects or potential defects to the vehicle, however insignificant they may seem.
- Ensure that vehicles and equipment (including consumable stock and uniform) are maintained to AMS standards and support the Operations Team in ensuring that these are always available.
- To maintain computerised records to record work carried out on stock levels, vehicles, and equipment daily to maintain a full history of compliance.
- Be proactive in identifying and providing solutions to issues encountered within the role and bring to the attention of the OSM areas that cannot be managed at a local level.
- Use any equipment and devices as trained to, to carry out duties efficiently and to the agreed standard.
- To maintain a working knowledge of relevant policy and procedures.
- Be able to demonstrate a high attention to detail, work to a high standard, be able to follow step by step instructions and be able to work as part of a team.
- Be aware of own and other’s role and responsibilities within the department to work as an effective complementary part of the team.
- Perform any other duties commensurate with these responsibilities, the level of the post and skills and qualifications of the post holder.
Person Specification
The successful candidate will be highly organised with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines, have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate at all levels. They will be computer literate with the ability to use various software packages and be willing to adapt, learn new skills and successfully complete any training relevant to the role.
Although not essential the ideal candidate will have experience of working in one or more of the following areas:
- Event medical/ healthcare work
- Logistics environment
- Infection control/cleaning or vehicles or equipment
