Key responsibilities of this role include:
Key responsibilities of this role include:
- Confirming all CAO / Radioactive freight and arranging correct units for each flight with the sort
- Monitoring of inbound flights / trucks for dangerous goods ‘DG’ freight
- Transferring all data onto the relevant NOTOC’s (Notice to Captain)
- Dealing with customer queries through UK RCG
- Keying DG paperwork onto the RCTS system
- Checking the scanning and flagging is correct for all DG, Dry ice, Radioactive and AVI freight
- Imaging all DG paperwork to ensure Global SOP compliance
- Confirming accounts are approved to ship DG using Account Approval System
- Ensuring all nightly, weekly and monthly reports are completed in a timely manner
- Attending and passing a 2-yearly IATA DGR course
- Attending and passing a 2-yearly ADR, AVI and IMDG course
- Inspecting and intercepting hidden dangerous goods entering the network and reporting accordingly
- Ensuring full compliance with Health and Safety, Environmental and other regulatory requirements
- Completing and investigating RCIR and CAA reports
- Operating a Forklift, PPT & Buggy tests for freight distribution
- Understanding and gaining knowledge of the following systems - NMIV/RCTS/RCIR/RCTS/ACS T&T/TGV/DCVS/Q-Pulse
You’ll bring to this role:
- Good ACS knowledge and DG awareness
- An awareness of freight routings
- Confident and effective verbal and written communication skills
- Methodical, analytical and organisational abilities, paying close attention to detail
- The ability to remain calm and focused, particularly whilst under pressure in time sensitive situations
- Flexibility – this is essential due to operational requirements
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and DHL systems
- Knowledge of NOTOC, Dry-ice and all other DHL procedures is desirable (training will be provided)
