Your key responsibilities:
The Operations (Non-Technical) Internship is designed to provide opportunities to a diverse mix of students who demonstrate the same high level of ethics, values, creativity and performance we expect from our employees. There are two vacancies, one aligned to Continuous Improvement and the other to Commercial activity. During the 12-month paid internship, you will work on projects that have a measurable impact on our business and will be coached and mentored by Eaton leaders.
Potential Opportunities for Operations Interns:
- Commercial
- Continuous Improvement (Lean)
In a Commercial position you will support departments with the production and interrogation of data and metrics. You will be involved in tasks and projects continually aimed at delivering excellence to our customers as well as improving their experience; whether in terms of information, sales, product or service.
As part of Continuous Improvement, your work will include supporting the Eaton Continuous Improvement Framework (CIF). You will develop a knowledge of local ELSS/CI Tools through training and Eaton University Courses, and you will support the CI Team to mentor & coach the site through CI Training & Events. You will support the team to identify problem-solving activities and coordinate corrective action plans for production problems. You will plan and assist in designing strategies to improve positive employee relations and increase overall engagement.
Both Interns will be active members of the Site Engagement Committee, selecting and running charity, wellness and sustainability initiatives to drive employee engagement and Eaton’s commitment to local community throughout the 12 months.
Qualifications
Your background:
- Undergraduates working towards a minimum of a 2:1 in a related discipline (mandatory, below this you won`t be considered)
- Geographic flexibility to relocate within the UK for the duration of this internship
- Have legal authorization to work in the United Kingdom without company sponsorship and where appropriate comply with ITAR regulations (we do not sponsor any type of visa for this internship) ready to start in July 2023
- Actively enrolled in a bachelor's degree or master’s program with a major in business, economics, management, or a related field
- Student requires good IT skills, including proficiency in MS office, specifically Excel, Word and PowerPoint, but also feel comfortable working with new programs
