Position
MAIN MISSION
The Retail Operations Manager works closely to the Regional Operations Director EMEI and the General Manager UK & Netherlands in order to coordinate the Retail operations activities with the local Operations Manager (and Store Managers when appropriated) and contributes to run properly all back of house activities within the assigned perimeter.
He / she will be responsible of ensuring the compliance of In-Store Retail Operations to Company policies and procedures, with the aim to enhancing Client expectations and experience.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Operations and Retail execution
- Oversee the proper retail execution of Cicero and in-store operations guidelines;
- Master the usage of the Revolution system, in all areas related to stock transfer, stock arrivals and payments
- Lead the proper organization and execution of all back of house areas, stock rooms, maintenance rooms, alterations, rest rooms, and hold areas
- Manage, facilitate, and ensure completion of all inventories and cycle counts and official stock takes
- Ensure optimum customer after sales service, accuracy and integrity, in collaboration with After Sales department
- Maintain depth and accurate records of repairs (After Sales Service follow up)
- Oversee all processing of shipments, transfers, and consignments in collaboration with Supply Chain Department
- Check and monitor costs for packaging and uniform including against budget and prepare forecast
- Provide feedback, relevant reports and analyses linked to Operations activities
- Coordinate and oversee proper order on packaging material, stationary, etc
Compliance
- Oversees application of Petty Cash procedures in accordance with company policy and standards in strong partnership with other departments
- Coordinate with Legal department and Internal Control the implementation of procedure and guideline to safeguard all in all areas of risk, physical security, store cash controls, inventory management, inter-store communication, as well as audits.
Facilities management
- Coordinate the running of the store facility, including cleaning, repair, and replacement of damaged fixtures, furniture, registers, and other related items
- Ensure the facility management of the Head Office, including cleaning, repair, and replacement of damaged fixtures, furniture, registers, and other related items
- Serve as direct liaison between all sub-contractors and vendors to verify work standards and conditions of the stores
Other / projects
- Supervise operations and facilities management activities for new openings, expansion/refurbishments, and special projects (Special Sales, Pop-Up, In-store event, etc)
- Ensure newcomers are equipped with Company tools including uniforms allocation and management of company phone Sim cards allocations
- Train newcomers on retail operations (Cicero/Revolution, etc.) and back office procedure
- Gather and share best practices amongst store network
- Animate Operations community, sense of belonging and ensure this community is always trained and up to date with latest guidelines and procedures
You may also be required to carry out any other duties within your capacity, which the Company may reasonably require
Profile
- 7 years’ experience in Fashion/Luxury retail operations management with a relevant experience at country/corporate level
- 3 years’ experience in a managerial role
- Master’s degree or equivalent
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, proactive attitude
- Strong project management and problem-solving attitude
- Goal orientated, high attention to details and multi-tasking
- Organized, punctual, accurate, trustable
- Able to work under pressure and with multiple tight deadlines
- Fluency in English (another language will be considered a plus)
- Mastery of MS office tools
