Operations Manager – Homelessness and Allocations
(Town Hall, South Shields)
£48,587 pa
You will be responsible for the management of the strategic prevention of homelessness in the Borough, including the staff management of a small team of grant funded posts to tackle rough sleeping in the Borough. You will support the Senior Manager to make decisions on the future of the homelessness system and engage with a wide range of internal and external partners to improve the outcomes for all those facing or at risk of homelessness; specifically those currently not supported via our statutory duties.
You will also be responsible for the effective monitoring of the performance of the homelessness services provided by our Arm’s length Management Organisation, South Tyneside Homes (STH) and engagement with other commissioned services. You will identify and report on any under-performance or areas for improvement, learning from other authorities.
You will carry out day to day management of the Housing Sustainment and Support Team, who are funded via the Rough Sleeper Accommodation Programme and Rough Sleeper Initiative.
