Bouygues Energies & Services currently has an exciting opportunity for an Operations Manager (Cleaning) to join our Facilities team working on our local government contract covering various corporate & public sites across Westminster City Council. This is a permanent full-time position, working Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 17:00.

The role:

  • Reporting to the General Manager
  • Responsible for the day-to-day management of operational staff, team leaders and cleaning supervisors across the contract and for the performance of the hygiene and environmental services elements of the contract
  • To manage all associated subcontractors in accordance with company procedures and ensure that activities comply with client protocols
  • Responsible for the delivery of services to the highest standard, ensuring the effective management of staff, the provision of excellent customer service and compliance with contract, SLAs and company requirements
  • Manage all sub-contractors including pest control, feminine hygiene and window cleaning
  • Responsible for performance and financial delivery of the service in relation to budgets and for demonstrating continuous improvement of performance monitoring scores as required by the contract
  • To be responsible for managing and motivating staff to maximise departmental stability, and ensure that a high standard of customer care is maintained at all times
  • Working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday with a requirement to be part of the management call out rota.

The person:

  • Extensive knowledge of FM service provision and excellent customer services skills
  • Proven experience of managing a team, including strong communication and organisational skills
  • Essential to have IOSH managing safely and BICS level 1 & 2 (or equivalent)
  • Ability to problem-solve and work pro-actively to promote efficiencies and increase service delivery
  • Experience of financial systems and generating reports and/or previous experience of Maximo (or an alternative CAFM system) is desirable
