Operations Manager M&S (dedicated)

Job Overview
- To provide exceptional Store Protection Officers to selected M&S stores, ensuring that excellent customer service through Mitie and M&S key values.

- Managing a designated portfolio of M&S stores across areas of the North, ensuring that all contracted and temporary hours are fulfilled by trained Store Protection Officers / Store detectives and to the complete satisfaction of those stores.
- The retention and development SPO's and SD's is key to the business and total quality management is a primary objective.
Main duties
- Manage the SPO's on all stores to ensure that the operational delivery of the service is maintained to the highest standards and to the complete satisfaction of the store, including uniform standards and incident reporting through the store mobile device.
- Manage expenditure to the agreed budgets with no detrimental effect on service delivery.
- Monitor labour turnover, absenteeism and performance standards and recruit SPO's and SD's to ensure that retention is greater than 75%.
- Ensure that staff comply with Health and Safety requirements in all aspects of their work.
- Fulfil Duty Management responsibilities on a rostered basis in line with agreed procedures.
- Maintain accurate and up to date Assignment Instructions.
- Attend stores on a monthly basis, producing monthly minutes meetings from clients using the SMP template as basis for agenda.
- Completing daily recs to ensure billing and pay are correct.
- Maintaining productive relationships with 3rd party suppliers to ensure quality is at the forefront of everything we do.

Health and Safety responsibilities
- Follow Group and company policies and procedures at all times.
- Report any apparent deficiencies in systems of work or equipment provided that may result in failure of service delivery or risk to health and safety or the environment.
- Use all work equipment and personal PPE properly and in accordance with training received.
- Report any issues or training needs to your Line manager and /or via your divisional incident reporting system.
