This opportunity sits within our Severn Trent Services business, a commercial arm of the Severn Trent Group. We’re currently recruiting for an Operations Manager who’ll be responsible for Operational Site Delivery of maintenance tasks across our estate, covering the mine water treatment works we manage on behalf of the Coal Authority.


The regions in which our sites are located include Lancashire, Yorkshire, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire & South Wales, therefore flexibility is key, as this role will be home based requiring extensive travel. In exchange we’re offering you the chance to be heavily involved in our growing business – Oren Environmental.


Our role will give you the opportunity to lead a dispersed team of operators working remotely throughout the area, as well as several contractors and suppliers providing services ranging from sampling, pump exchanges, jetting and grounds maintenance. You can also expect to manage budgets, material and equipment purchases and various KPI’s such as compliance, H&S, site standards etc.


WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR


To do this role at it's best you must have experience operating in the waster/wastewater industry. Our ideal candidate will be also be a team player with the will to develop, lead and inspire your staff. Experience of managing the performance of a dispersed asset base over a considerable geography coupled with the ability to manage stakeholders and be commercially literate will set you at an advantage.

That being said, it would be really beneficial for you to have some knowledge of water treatment process, a good knowledge of Health and Safety and some basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
