This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well established manufacturer who are a brand associated with quality. They have significant growth plans and have recently undergone a period of significant investment. They are looking for an Operations Manager to help streamline the day to day functioning of the foundry.

The role would suit Operations Managers or Senior Production Managers transferring from a foundry background or similar. Operations Managers with experience working within a green sand, grey iron casting facility will have a considerable advantage and are encouraged to apply. You must have strong leadership and people management skills and a proven track record of implementing LEAN manufacturing principles.

Reporting to the Foundry Director, the role will essentially involve the day to day management of a grey iron, green sand foundry environment. You will be responsible for overseeing a team of 12 direct reports and a team of 150 indirect reports. Production planning and KPI management is a large part of this role where you will ensure that the facility is running to it’s optimum and streamlining/implementing LEAN where possible.

This is a varied role with a high level of responsibility within an exciting phase of company growth. You will be integral to shape and scope the company’s success in this market moving forward. Foundry Operations Manager:

*Overseeing the Operations of a large grey iron foundry

*KPI Management and Production Planning

*12 Direct Reports, 150 Indirect Reports

*LEAN implementation

*Will ideally transfer from a foundry background

*Must have strong people management skills

*Monday to Friday. Afternoon Work will be required

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: From £60,000.00 per year
